Cesen, Barbara, Mariech, Col Posanova, Forconetta, Endymion ... so in my childhood to memorize the names of these mountains of the Alps as they used to do with the national (Zoff, Burgnich, Facchetti ...). Endymion, perhaps because of the similarity of the Greeks fabled that the deity of the place and all of its other olympians. Also kidnapped as a child watching from the window of the house, a large meadow nestled peacefully along the ridge east of Tomatico (above Feltre). For me it was equivalent to the great prairies of the far west, to a space infinity. I fantasized that it would take whole days to get up there (the adventures John Waine). Then fifteen years I lived my first experience of mountain climbing in the Alps Feltrine Eternal Plans. The arrival of this corner of paradise close to the magic left me in the eye, a feeling of incredible beauty. Since then, many myths have fallen. Endymion and fallen from the illusion of god to all the grassy slopes that descend towards the upper valley of Treviso. On the great lawn (PRA Franzoia) we will go up after many years, without great emotion on foot in an hour, when, because of abandonment, was now reduced to an inglorious restricted grazing memoria.I future plans to wreck ...
